Training

We want to make it easy for you to get started with MyLanguageLabs! We offer several ways for you to learn about MyLanguageLabs and how to incorporate in into your course. Keep reading to learn more about our training options and consider which types of training work best for you.

 

MyLanguageLab Overview Sessions

Throughout the year, we'll be hosting regular Webinar sessions for you to learn more about the MyLanguageLabs system. During the Webinar, participants view the trainers' computer screen and have the opportunity to interact with MyLanguageLabs during the workshop. You'll need a computer with a broadband (T1, cable, DSL) Internet connection and a phone to call into the toll-free conference line. “Learn about MyLanguageLabs” (1 hour) –

This session provides an overview of the MyLanguageLabs platform.  You will see a variety of tools and resources designed specifically for language instructors and students including layered support for homework, personalized learning, voice recording, a customizable gradebook and much more!

Special Topics are offered on a rotating schedule.

      1. GradeBook:  Overview of how you find students' grades and how students find their grades. Includes   coverage of grade-to-date columns, how to create customized columns in the GradeBook and how to grade instructor-graded activities, etc.
      2. Creating Tests/Quizzes: How to create a Test and/or Quiz in the MyLanguageLabs and assign it online to your students.
      3. Creating Assignments: In this session you’ll learn how to make assignments with and without due dates   for your course and how to organize your course calendar.
      4. Today’s View: Overview of all the alerts, notifications and performance channels that appear on the Today’s View.
      5. Wimba Pronto: Overview of the features of Wimba Pronto, including an explanation and demonstration of the instructor and student set-up of Wimba Pronto.
      6. Adding your own content & Creating Activities:  In this session you’ll learn how to add your own documents, files, pictures to the course and also how to create your own activities inside the course
